Oscarville Tribal Climate Adaptation Plan

Oscarville, a small Yup’ik village in southwest Alaska, volunteered as a pilot project for the holistic approach to climate adaptation planning, utilizing the traditional wisdom of the Yup’ik people and infusing Western science and research into a new space for value-based decision making for adaptation. The plan includes ways to create jobs, adapt subsistence life, and make the community more resilient to change.
