Tool: Alaska: Ocean Acidification Sensitivity Index

An index that looks at population, diversity of economy/reliance on seafood for commercial export and local subsistence, low adaptive capacity (access to secondary education, income). The southwestern coast of Alaska has some of the highest hazard scores compared with other parts of the state that have more diverse economies, lower exposure to the impacts .
