North Pacific Fishery Management Council (NPFMC) is one of eight regional councils established by the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act in 1976 to manage fisheries in the 200-mile Exclusive Economic Zone. NPFMC has developed a guide for people who want a voice in fisheries management issues that can be used to help effectively engage at a formal Council meeting or to get involved in management issues when there is no time to attend Council meetings.
